The Voluntary Euthanasia Party (NSW) is hosting this forum to facilitate a serious discussion about what a voluntary assisted dying law should look like in Australia. It is about finding the right balance between providing access for those with the greatest need while providing enough safeguards to protect the vulnerable.

This event is timed to coincide with an important milestone in the international campaign to legalise voluntary assisted dying because this will be the week when both the Canadian and the Californian laws come into effect.

Andrew Denton, who has spent the past 14 months investigating ‘why – in Australia – good people are being forced to die bad deaths’, will deliver the keynote speech before joining other members of our expert panel for the Q&A style forum.
