My name is Gregory Mauldon. I was born at Dennington (near Warrnambool) in the Western District of Victoria.
I had a limited education leaving school at 13, being apprenticed at 15 in the Printing Industry.
I am an avid reader. I have always been interested in learning, completing many Adult Education Courses such as Introduction to Philosophy, to hands on courses such as Welding and Carpentry courses. I am retired, but lead an active life.
U3A (University of the Third Age) and LAC (Life Activities Club), both Voluntary organisations, are clubs that I enjoy.
Helping older people are passions of mine. I usually become involved in Committees helping to run these organisations.
My wife Joyce (now deceased) was a Registered Nurse who spent most of her Nursing Career in Geriatrics.
I saw a lot of unfortunate circumstances in Nursing Homes where patients had poor quality of life.
I believe people should have the means available to them to end their own life peacefully and with dignity.
